NCTJ and IPSO partner to offer e-learning course on Journalism Skills Academy
The NCTJ has partnered with the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) to create a free, interactive e-learning course on the Journalism Skills Academy (JSA)
The new online course guides learners through the work of IPSO and to the key requirements of the Editors’ Code of Practice. It highlights the importance for journalists to feel confident about the regulations which underpin their work, and calls attention to a range of key IPSO rulings.
It is intended to be equally suitable for prospective journalists wanting an introduction to IPSO, and for working journalists keen to refresh their knowledge.
Charlotte Dewar, Chief Executive of IPSO, said:
“IPSO is delighted to have supported the NCTJ to produce this training module, which focuses on the principles of IPSO regulation, the Editors’ Code and key IPSO rulings.”
