David Hutton, Chair

Former IPSO Complaints Committee member, Chair of IPSO’s Readers’ Advisory Panel and headteacher.

Fran Yeoman

Head of journalism at Liverpool John Moores University and a former national newspaper journalist. Fran is currently co-leading an interdisciplinary project on court reporting and its effects on prisoners’ families and the implications of those impacts for journalistic best practice. She previously worked for the iThe Independent, and The Times.

Derren Hayes

Derren has been writing about health and social affairs for more than 20 years and for the past decade has been editor of Children & Young People Now, a magazine and website for professionals working with children, young people and families.

Lucie Calow

Director of SEND at Unity Schools Partnership and a Department for Education RISE advisor,  Lucie has been working with and for children with additional needs and vulnerabilities for over 30 years, including Headship of an area special school in the east of England.

Caroline Iggulden

Caroline Iggulden is Associate Editor at The Sun newspaper and sits on IPSO’s Journalist Advisory panel. In her current role she is responsible for editorial campaigns and partnerships across print and digital and is also on the paper’s regular editing rota. She has written and edited stories about children over the course of her career.
