For journalists & publishers
IPSO works to embed good editorial standards
All members regulated by IPSO have agreed to follow the Editors’ Code of Practice, which sets the framework for the highest professional standards.
What we do
We are for accountable journalism. We regulate the UK newspaper, magazine and digital news industry. We are independent of government, Parliament and publishers.
Editors’ Code of Practice
The Editors’ Code is the framework we use to regulate print and digital news. It's the set of rules IPSO members have agreed to accept. It is part of the contract between IPSO and the print digital news industry to ensure journalism is accountable.

Transparency and accountability
We aim to be clear about what we do and how we work. We want our services to be easily accessed and to be available to all.
